Collier et Murra (1943) encore en espagnol

Après la circulation, pendant plus de 25 ans, d'une traduction peu technique du Survey and Exavations in Southern Ecuador (Collier et Murra 1943, Field Museum of Natural History, Chicago), la Maison de la Culture Équatorienne, Siège de Azuay, vient du publier Reconocimiento y Excavaciones en el Austro Ecuatoriano (mars 2007), une nouvelle traduction (ayant apparemment reçu la bénédiction de J. Murra lui-même) avec les illustrations pertinentes de l'original. Le traducteur en est Benigno Malo, qui, soit dit en passant, est le compilateur de la publication (pp. 465+), du fait d'y avoir inclus, à la manière d'appendices, cinq contributions récentes de spécialistes connus: Le territoire méridional du Formatif tardif: une tentative de redéfinition spatiale à partir de l'Archéologie (Dominique Gomis Santini); Cerro Narrío, Pirincay et le Formatif (Karen Olsen Bruhns); Le traffic du mullo sur la Côte Pacifique (John V. Murra); Premières datations de carbone 14 dans le midi équatorien obtenues par l'expédition du Musée Britannique (E.M. Carmichael); Le Formatif initial et moyen à Zamora Chinchipe (Francisco Valdez).
